She was the beloved wife of the late James Johnson, Jr. Born in Attleboro, MA, a daughter of the late Lucien and Mildred (Curran) Betts. Before retirement, Ruth was employed with Texas Instruments for many years in the accounts receivable dept. She was a graduate of Fisher College, where she earned an Associates degree. She loved camping, traveling, and loved to spend time in Florida. She was a loving and caring person who was devoted to her family. Loving mother of Glen Johnson of Seekonk, Gary Johnson of Providence, James Johnson III of Pawtucket, Gail Walsh of No. Attleboro and Brenda Mylod of Pawtucket; sister of Lucien Betts of So. Attleboro, Hazel Mohr of Norton, Mildred Wallace of So. Attleboro, Florence Rouleau of Swansea, Patricia Beaucage of So. Attleboro. Grandmother of 7, great-grandmother of 2. She was also the sister of the late Charles, Everett Betts and Dorothy Wilbar. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014 at 10 am in Memorial Baptist Church 340 Central Ave, Seekonk.
