NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C.- Mrs. Ruth K. Smith, 88, formerly of The Ledges, entered into rest Saturday, November 15, 2003 at National Health Care. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2003 at Gracewood Cemetery. Mrs. Smith was a native of Richmond County, Ga. and had lived in North Augusta for the past twenty-three years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of North Augusta. Mrs. Smith was previously employed with Hotel Richmond, The Amber House and Jollys Restaurant. Survivors include a son, Jack H. Smith of North Augusta; two grandchildren, Kathy D. Hydrick and her husband Johnny of Trenton and Karen S. Ceron and her husband Oscar of North Augusta; three great-grandchildren, David T. Dutton, II and Kirsten K. Ceron both of North Augusta and Jonathan D. Dutton of Trenton; three great great-grandchildren, Trevor A. Dutton, Madyson C. Dutton and Kristen L. Dutton all of Trenton; and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of North Augusta Future Learning Center, 602 Georgia Avenue, North Augusta, S.C. 29841 or to the charity of ones choice.
