Obituary of Ruth-Irene Henderson


Mrs. Ruth Irene (Donley) Henderson passed away peacefully in her sleep at 11 a.m. on Oct. 27, 2006, at Christian Health Care in Nixa. She was born Sept. 25, 1917, at Urbana, Mo., the only daughter of six children born to M. Eldon and M. Anna (Thomas) Donley. She was a resident of Springfield for 60 years. She was united in marriage with Coval D. Henderson on May 8, 1939, who passed on earlier this year. She is survived by her children, Gary Henderson of Springfield, Jerald Henderson and Jan of Nixa, Philip Henderson and Cheryl of Shawnee, Kan., and Debra Boehmler of Springfield, Mo.; grandchildren, Michael Henderson, Nixa, Patrick Henderson, Broken Arrow, Okla., Jeffrey Henderson, Overland Park, Kan., Michele Close, Raytown, Mo., Todd Boles, Russellville, Ark., Steven Henderson, Ozark, Mo., Chelsea Bassham, Lee's Summit, Mo., and Chad Boehmler, Springfield, Mo.; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Ruth devoted her life to her husband, children and grandchildren. She was happiest when surrounded by her family. After the passing of her beloved husband, she looked forward to joining him in heaven. Mother, you will be greatly missed and never forgotten. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 31, 2006, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North with Pastor Nolan Carrier officiating. No formal visitation is planned.
