Ruth G. Scott of Deposit, N.Y. Ruth G. Scott, 97, of Deposit, N.Y., died April 4, 2008 at Elizabeth Church Manor in Binghamton, N.Y., where she had resided since 2001. She was predeceased by her husband of sixty years, Kenneth; and also by a son, Frank; and daughters, Dorothy and Esther. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Dewey Briggs; son-in-law, Jim Jones; daughter-in-law, Joyce Scott; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren. Ruth was a member of the Deposit First Baptist Church, the Women's Federation, and the Deposit Garden Club. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, April 6, 2008, at the Deposit First Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Krembs officiating. Calling hours will be at the church on Sunday from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. time of service. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Deposit. Friends wishing may make memorial donations to the Deposit First Baptist Church. Arrangements are through the Zacharias Funeral Home in Deposit.
