Ruth Button Smithof Hallstead, Pa.Ruth Button Smith, 98, Hallstead, Pa., passed away April 26, 2006 in Binghamton, N.Y. She was predeceased by her husbands, Oscar Button and Alfred Smith; and by her sons, Kenneth Button, Alan Button, and step-son, Fred Smith. Ruth is survived by her sons, Donald Button, Nineveh, N.Y. and Norman Button and wife, Louella, Port Crane, N.Y.; daughters, Shirley Root, Hallstead, Pa., Ruth Liechti, Windsor, N.Y., Bertha Acker and husband, Eugene, Kingsley, Pa., Evelyn Sprague and husband, Kenneth, Binghamton, N.Y.; a brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Alyce Wilmot, Fla.; stepdaughters and spouses, Wanda and Daniel Chisarick, Shirley and Robert Best, Marie and Paul Benedict, Beverly and David Conklin; a stepdaughter-in-law, Marion Smith; 30 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.A funeral service will be held at Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, 5 Susquehanna Avenue, Hallstead, Pa., Saturday, April 29, 2006 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Larry Thomas officiating. Interment will be in New Milford Cemetery. The family will receive callers at the funeral home from 7 to 9 Friday evening and from 10 a.m. Saturday until the start of the service.
