OKEECHOBEE - Ruth A. Lee died Saturday, July 5, 2014, at Raulerson Hospital. She was born in Miami, Florida to Emery and Annette Odom. She was a resident of Okeechobee for the past 16 years and a member of First Baptist Church. Ruth's favorite time was spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and working outside with her orchid plants. She enjoyed her church family and attending Sunday School. Ruth was preceded in death by her son Andrew Norris. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Thomas Lee; three sons, Gary Lee of Loxahatchee, Fla., Tyler (Emily) Lee of Tallahassee, Thomas Gordon Lee, Jr. of Davie, Fla.; one daughter, Pamela (Keith) Swalwell of Homestead, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 10, 2014, from 10 am until service time of 11 am at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home with Bobby White officiating.
