MEREDITH -- Russell Edward &quot;Rusty&quot; Maguire, 80, died Oct. 11, 2009, at Goldenview Health Care Center. He was born in Brookline, Mass., Sept. 9, 1929, to George and Gertrude (Sinclair) Maguire. He grew up in the Boston area, and attended many Red Sox games as a teenager. He moved to Rochester, and attended Spaulding High School while working on his uncle's farm. He moved to Bethlehem, where he spent many years before moving to Meredith. He loved to build things and was a skilled carpenter. He built chalets in the North Country and condos in the Lakes Region. He was predeceased by a son, Michael Collins. Family members include his loving wife of 40 years, Jane (MacDonald) Maguire of Meredith; three daughters, Kathleen Maguire of Edgewater, Fla., Debra Charland of Bethlehem, and Mary Beth Brown of Tacoma, Wash.; two sons, Patrick Maguire of Hampton, Va., and Scott Maguire of Newbury, Mass.; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. SERVICES: A calling hour will be Friday from 11 a.m. to noon at Keller &amp; Pillsbury Funeral Home, Littleton, with the funeral to follow at noon with the Rev. Sam Newton officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Street Cemetery, Bethlehem.
