Rose Massaroni Marino NiskayunaRose Massaroni Marino, 96, entered into eternal rest on Thursday at her home with her daughter at her side. Rose was born in Schenectady on November 5, 1918, a daughter of the late Domenico and Concetta Rea Massaroni. She graduated from the Old Schenectady High School and was employed at the General Electric during WWII helping to support the war effort. She later worked as a waitress for many years. Rose was a lifelong communicant of St. Anthony's Church and a dedicated annual Festa worker for many years. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, whom she married on October 26, 1941, Louis Lulu Marino, until his death on March 15, 2008; and her siblings, Joseph Massaroni and Fanny Iacovitti. She is survived by her loving children, Lois Marino and Richard Marino and his wife, Peggy; adoring grandchildren, Louis and Vicky Marino, Darren and Laura Marino, Anthony and Marsha Marino and Christopher and Christina Marino; great-grandchildren, Gabriella, Alexandra, Gianna and Olivia, whom she adored; several nieces and nephews also survive. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at St. John the Evangelist Church, Union Street. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at St. John the Evangelist Church on Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m. Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
