ObituaryRose F. Smith, 76, of Ft. Myers died January 6, 2004, she was born in Mahanoy City, PA., a daughter of the late Joseph and Viola Wherrity. Rose moved to the local area in 1986 from Wallingford, PA., she was a member of the Moose Lodge of Cape Coral, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and an active member of Zion Lutheran Church. Rose enjoyed doing water aerobics. Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband of 59 years, Harold F. 'Hal', daughter Judith R. 'Judy' Abrams of Cape Coral, her son Harold G. 'Skip' Smith of Ft. Myers Beach, her sister June Erickson of PA., her grandchildren; Lisa, Rose, Scott, her great-grandchildren Angelina, Jessica, Joseph, Ronald, godchild Lynn Titus of PA. She was predeceased by her sister Catherine Jones and granddaughter Kathryn Smith. A funeral service celebrating her life will be conducted in the Zion Lutheran Church, 7401 Winkler Road, Ft. Myers, FL., 33919 TODAY at 11:00 AM. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Zion Lutheran Church Building Fund at the above address. Private family entombment will be in Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
