PARKER Robert S. Parker, age 79, a resident of Wesley Village, Shelton and previously of Stratford, died Friday, December 19, 2008, at Griffin Hospital, Derby. Robert was born in Stamford, son of the late Frank and Catherine Bird Parker. He graduated from Stamford schools, served with the U.S. Navy and retired as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. Survivors include two sisters, Jean Harvey of West Hartford and Kathleen Rose of Stamford; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
