ROBERT MULLER MELBOURNE Sacred is the memory of Robert Louis Muller who departed this life on Tuesday, March 25, 2008. Bob was born on Staten Island, New York September 4, 1927, the eldest child of Paul Ernst Muller and Alice Rasmussen. He was brother to Walter, Joan (deceased) and Paul. He is survived by his adoring and devoted wife, Sylvia and their four loving children; Jan of Austin, TX, Keith of Melbourne, FL, Robin and husband Jonathan Gart of Coral Springs, FL and Scott and wife Vera of Melbourne, FL. His memory will be cherished as "Papa" to Taylor and Jordan Gart. Bob graduated from Port Richmond High School and received his BS degree from Wagner College of Staten Island, NY. A veteran, he was a medic in the United States Army Air Corps before completing graduate studies at the Univer sity of Iowa, Iowa City. Bob married his one love, Sylvia Aune, on August 11, 1951. Together they shared 57 years of merriment, enjoying the simple pleasures of family and friends. Their unique bond of utter commitment to one anoth er is our lasting lesson. A long time resident of Plant ation, FL he retired from Florida Atlantic University where he was Director of Purchasing. Bob and Sylvia moved to Melbourne, FL to be near their children and grandchildren; who along with Sylvia provided him with the greatest of dignity and care as he faced the challenges of an aging body. He was an adored husband, a devoted son, brother, father, uncle, grandfa ther and friend who taught by quiet example. His family was his greatest source of joy and pride. To all who knew him, he was a kind and gentle spirit. He will be deeply missed. A celebration of his life will be held at Faith Viera Lutheran Church, Viera, FL on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to William Childs Hospice House, Palm Bay, FL.
