AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Robert Lee DeWitt, 54, entered into rest Monday, December 24, 2007 at Medical College of Georgia. He had been a resident of Panama City from 1967 to 2003. Robert enjoyed fishing, hunting and sports. He was Baptist by faith and a graduate of Rutherford High School, Class of 1971. Robert was involved with the Boy Scouts in Augusta and enjoyed going to Robby's baseball games. He is survived by his wife, Doreen DeWitt of Augusta; his son, Robby DeWitt, Augusta; mother Ann DeWitt of Panama City; sisters, Helen Shirley and her husband, Bill, Debi Schenavar and her husband, Mark, and Becky Scofield and her husband, Cecil, all of Panama City; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, December 29, 2007 at the American Legion, Post 178 on Richmond Hill Road.
