JACKSON, ROBERT DAVIS, 60Dunnellon - Mr. Robert "Bob" Jackson, 60, of Dunnellon died on Sunday, November 29, 2009 at his residence. Bob was born February 24, 1949 in Louisville, Ky. and had resided in the Dunnellon area for 23 years moving from Louisville, Ky. Bob was a member of the Preston Masonic Lodge #281 F & AM, High Twelve Club, Scottish Rite, York Rite, a Shriner. He as a member of the Grand Lodge of Ky. and a 33rd Degree Mason. Bob was a member of the CFCC Criminal Justice Institute Advisory Committee and was chairman 2004-2005, Police Benevolent Assoc., and FL. Police Chief's Assoc. Bob retired from the Dunnellon Police Dept. with 20 years of Service. Ten of those years he was the Chief. Survivors include his wife Bonnie J. Jackson of Dunnellon, son Rob Jackson of Leitchfield, Ky., daughter Whitney Jackson of Louisville, Ky., mother Elizabeth Jean Jackson of Dunnellon, sister Lynn Callahan of LaGrange, Ky., and 3 grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday 11:00 A.M. at St John the Baptist Catholic Church with Fr. Emmanuel Akalue officiating. Interment will follow in Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens, Ocala. The family will receive friends Tuesday 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. at the Roberts Funeral Home, 19939 E. Pennsylvania Ave, Dunnellon. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital of Gainesville, FL.
