Obituary of Robert-E. Lee


HODGENVILLE -- Robert E. "Bobby" Lee, 79, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2004, at his residence. He was a native of Larue County, KY, and a US Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He was the former owner and operator of Hodgenville Dry Cleaners and a member of Buffalo Baptist Church and Hodgenville Lions Club. He was predeceased by his wife, Alene Scott Lee; his parents, Ed Tom and Hallie Mae Wathen Lee; a brother, Bill Lee; and a sister, Maxine Adams. He is survived by his daughter, Becky (Donald) Reynolds of Hodgenville; son, Jerry L. (Cheryl) Lee of Downs, IL; grandsons, Jack (Tiffany) Zieg Jr. of Bowling Green, KY, and Adam Lee of Downs; stepgrandson, Jason (Alyse) Reynolds of Germany; stepgreat-grand- daughter, Alora Reynolds of Germany; sisters, Orpha Camp of Louisville, Elsie Crady of Tuscola, IL, and Joyce Williams of Hodgenville; and a brother, Henry T. Lee of Hodgenville. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Billy Howell Funeral Chapel, with Bro. James Smith and Bro. Isaac McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in Red Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Kentucky Baptist Homes for Children, 10200 Linn Station Rd., Louisville, KY 40223, the American Heart Association or to the Arthritis Foundation.
