HENDERSON, ROBERT DOUGLAS, born July 5, 1927 in Camphill, Alabama was received peacefully into the Lord's care on his 43rd wedding anniversary on February 23, 2006. He is survived by his wife Catherine (Mitzie); son, Bobby and daughters Debbie and Lori Sweeney. He was a proud grandfather to Bo and Kyndall Henderson and to T.C., Taylor and Tate Sweeney. Robert held many jobs including the construction of the VAB and launch pads of the Apollo Space Program at Kennedy Space Center. He also helped with the construction of Walt Disney World. He was a transportation coordinator and his last job was as a chauffeur for Universal Studios. Robert was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Apopka. He was also a member of the American Legion and VFW. Viewing is on Monday from 6-8PM at Baldwin- Fairchild Apopka Chapel, 601 N. Park Ave., Apopka, and the church service will be Tuesday at 10AM at St. Paul's, 261 S. McGee Ave., Apopka. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
