Forest RangerFORT MEADE -- Mr. Robert S. "Bob" Carter of Fort Meade died of cancer Tuesday (June 8, 2004) at home. He was 75.Born in Ocala, he came to Fort Meade from there in 1984. He was a retired forest ranger for the Florida Department of Agriculture of 27 years. He was an Army veteran, serving in the Occupation of Japan. He was a Baptist.Mr. Carter is survived by his wife, Nancy J. Carter; son, Robert C. Carter, Lakeland; daughter, Jennifer L. Pierce, Burnsville, Minn.; sisters, Frances Wright, Cocoa, Ruth Schumacher, Rockledge; four granddaughters; three greatgrandchildren. Roberts Funeral Home, Downtown Chapel, Ocala.
