ANDERSON Robert August Anderson, age 65, of Fairfield, died on Sunday, March 20, 2005, at St. Vincent0s Medical Center, Bridgeport. Bob was born in Bridgeport, on February 19, 1940, and was a lifelong resident of Fairfield. After graduating from the University of Bridgeport in 1962, he became a teacher at his alma mater, Andrew Warde High School. He taught math his first half year, and then he taught English and coached the JV and Varsity football teams until 1972 when he became housemaster at Roger Ludlow High School When the schools consolidated, Bob was a headmaster at Fairfield High School. He retired in 2000 due to health reason. Bob was a past president of the Fairfield Civitan Club, a charter member and past president of the Fairfield School Administrators Association. He was also a member of Salem Lutheran Church and Fidelity/ St. John Lodge AM & FM number 3. Bob leaves his beloved daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Tom Graham, of Knoxville, Tenn.; his much loved son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Chang Ok Anderson; his precious grandchildren, JiYoung, Aleena and Kimberly; two sisters, Joyce Galbraith of Monroe, and Janet Kettman of Fairfield; his uncle, Michael Sarback of Stratford; and his devoted wife of 43 years, Kathleen; as well as many nieces and nephews; too numerous to mention. Bob was devoted to his family and friends and most enjoyable times were spent being around them. He will be remembered by all who knew him for his wonderful sense of humor. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Thursday, March 24, at 11 a.m. (Directly) at the Salem Lutheran Church, Bridgeport. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the Larson Funeral Home, 2496 North Avenue, Bridgeport, on Wednesday, from 4 to 8 p.m.
