Rev. William Willoughby The Rev. William "Bill" Walter Willoughby, 78, died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy "Dot" Willoughby. The service will be at 10 a.m. EDT Saturday at Thomasville Road Baptist Church, with burial at MeadowWood Memorial Park. The viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. EDT today at Bevis of Tallahassee Funeral Home (850-385-2193).He was a native of Akron, Ohio and moved from Louisville, Ky., to Tallahassee in 1970. He spent eight years in the Florida Army National Guard and had retired after more than 20 years with the Apalachee Center for Human Services as the purchasing director. He was a member of the Thomasville Road Baptist Church and was on the pastoral staff there from 1970 to 1974.He was the Pastor at Bradfordville First Baptist Church from 1978 to 1982. He also worked at WFSU-TV from 1970 to 1974. Other survivors include two sons, William Jay Willoughby (and wife Charlene) and Stephen Kent Willoughby, both of Tallahassee; a grandson, Joshua Willoughby of Connecticut; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Willoughby of Tallahassee.
