STRATHAM -- Priscilla Louise Williams, 88, of Squamscott Road, died April 2, 2009, at Edgewood Centre, Portsmouth, after a period of declining health. She was born July 16, 1920, in Tilton, daughter of Robert J. and Priscilla M. (Martell) Michaud. She was raised in Hardwick, Vt., and graduated from Hardwick High School. While there, she appeared in the school play "Little Women." In her spare time, she liked visiting the local library, reading, doing seamstress work and cooking. She had formerly worked at Pratt-Whitney, out of Connecticut during the war effort, but mainly was a homemaker. IN HER LIFE: As a teenager, Priscilla had fond memories of waitressing at Indian Head Resort in Lincoln. In 1944, she married Wendell Williams, while he was home, serving during World War II as a fighter pilot. They lived in Durham a short time, and Priscilla recalled having to garden and can foods during those tough times. They settled in Winnisquam near Lake Winnisquam to raise their family. She was always involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren. After Wendell's retirement, they moved to Stratham in 1969, as they enjoyed the rural setting. She is survived by her husband, whom she always adored, Wendell Williams of Stratham; four children, Marsha Lynn Williams of Newmarket, Carol Jean Dee of Hawaii, Wayne Allen Williams of Portsmouth, and Gail Anne Toussaint of North Berwick, Maine; 10 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a sister, and her husband, Rosemae Garibotto and Richard of W. Townsend, Mass.; a brother, Norbert Paul Michaud of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; numerous nieces and nephews. SERVICES: Friends may call at Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St. Exeter, Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Church, Exeter.
