PHYLLIS SMITH HAMMOND, IN Phyllis Smith (nee Peterson), age 59 of Hammond, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2010 at St. Margaret Mercy Hospital North Campus. She is survived by her loving sister, Joyce (Robert Jackson) Peterson of TX; one nephew, Peter Jackson; dear friends: Mary Fraid, Donna Ploskonka and Lenny Dixon. Preceded in death by her parents: George and Edith Peterson; and one brother, George A. Peterson. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Burns-Kish Funeral Home, 5840 Hohman Ave., Hammond, IN with Pastor Michael Matiscik officiating. Burial at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond. Visitation Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Phyllis will be dearly missed by her loving friends.
