Paul Wally Martin, November 7, 1962 | July 2, 2013. Paul passed away peacefully at home following a brief illness. Paul was a self-proclaimed Happy-Go-Lucky Pollack, an avid adventurer and had an affinity with anything electrical or motorized: he had a passion for restoring, repairing and rescuing. One of his last accomplishments was a trip to the Shenandoah Valley in a 92 Corvette he refurbished. Born in Beverly, MA, and raised in Danvers, MA, he was the son of the late Richard S. and Gertrude (Augustynowicz) Martin. Paul attended the Danvers school system and went on to North Shore Community College, attaining a degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and then working in health rehabilitation. Paul also attained his associates degree as a Systems Engineer Specialist and worked at the Volpe Center, in the D.O.T., in Boston, MA. Paul is predeceased by his older sister, Karen Martin, a 911 Flight Attendant. Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Crystal and two step children, Brandon and Leslie Richard, and his siblings John A. and Susan Martin; also, his Aunt Joan and Bill Greener, Aunt Linda Austin and Uncle Bob Martin; several cousins, his in-laws Louis and Donna Eisenhard as well as many dear friends. Paul was a kind and caring soul, a peacekeeper and a down-to-earth man; he loved history and the outdoors. He had an appreciation for a challenge, for which he often used creative ingenuity; he derived immense pleasure from accomplishing tough tasks. Paul had the ability to be noticed in a room; with his infectious smile and booming laugh, he could dominate conversations with animated storytelling and charisma.
