Paul M. Williams, 83, of Port Orange, passed away December 5, 2009. Mr. Williams was born on February 3, 1926 in Mt Carmel, PA. A Navy veteran, he honorably served as a Signalman on the Xanthus, during World War II. He graduated from East Stroudsburg University in East Stroudsburg, PA and received his Master's Degree in Education from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ. For 30 years he was involved in the Pleasantville, NJ school system, starting as a History Teacher and finishing his career as Superintendent of the school system. He took early retirement and started a wedding photography business with his wife, Doris, before moving to Port Orange. Arriving in December 1985, he joined Adams Cameron Reality Company. He was a member and elder at Coquina Presbyterian Church. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 59 years, Doris; daughters, Judy Williams Ward and her husband, Joseph of Browning, MO; and Cheryl L. Thompson and her husband, John of Port Orange; granddaughter, Chelsea Ward of Browning, Mo and grandson, Davis Nelson, Jr. of Mt. Prospect, IL. A celebration of his life will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at Spruce Creek Presbyterian Church, 1705 Taylor Rd, Port Orange. Donations may be made in his memory to Spruce Creek Presbyterian Church.
