Paddy proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy as a baker aboard the U.S.S. Albert T. Harris. He retired after 19 faithful years working at Frito-Lay, Inc. He was a proud member of the Goldwing Road Riders Chapter FL-1S, Zephyrhills. Paddy was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew R. and Mary (Schaaf) Fleming; step-mother, Louise Fleming; sister, Virginia "Jinks" Melfi; and daughter, Diana Fleming. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Sheran of Wesley Chapel; daughters, Ellen LeAnn Shade of Dayton, Ohio, and Lisa Ann and Ray Peel of Land 'O Lakes, Fla.; sisters, Catherine Mawhirter of Columbus, Ohio and Mary Ellen Ray of West Jefferson, Ohio; stepbrother, Dan Schaaf; seven grand-children; four great- grand-children; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may celebrate the life of this gentle Irishman who was a friend to all who knew him, 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, September 6, at Hodges Family Funeral Home, 54 Chapel.
