SMITH, Patricia Dorothy 82, of St. Petersburg passed away in her sleep Oct. 18, 2007. Pat was born & raised in Toledo, OH. She graduated from Notre Dame Academy High School and moved to St. Petersburg in 1966 with her husband and family. She was a former employee of Channel 10; Owner of Calico Chicks gift shop in Pinellas Park; past President of the Sunshine City Chapter of ABWA; Officer of church Guilds; and Cub Scout leader. For 13 years, Patricia and her husband made deliveries for Meals on Wheels & contributed to Indian Missions. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Patricia is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert G. Smith; their 5 children, Richard & Ronald Smith, Janet Long all of St. Petersburg; Robert H. Smith of Atlanta, GA and Carol Mina of Keystone Heights, FL. 10 grandchildren; Jeanette, Stephen, Christine, R. Gregory, Nicholas, Rebecca, Zachary, Adelle, Andrea, & Austin. 2 Great Grandchildren and a sister, Eunice Douthett of Rio Rancho, NM. She will be remembered as a person who gave of herself to others by spending time and listening. She was an avid reader. Pat took many trips with her husband to Hong Kong, England, Italy, Ireland, Greece and through out the United States. She set an example for all to follow and walked with the Lord each and every day. She will be loved and remembered by all those she touched and came in contact with. And by her family as the best Wife, Mother & Grandmother that anyone could ask for. We all felt as though we were her favorite. Friends may call on Sunday, Oct. 21 from 4-5 pm at Anderson-McQueen Funeral & Cremation Center, 2201 Dr. M L King St. N. A Funeral Mass will be held at 9 am on Monday Oct. 22, Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
