Norma Crooks Anderson, age 90, went to be with her Lord on December 29, 2014. She was born Norma Virginia Crooks in Wilmington, Delaware in 1924. Norma was predeceased by her husband, Lt. Col. David B. Anderson and her parents, Charles and Elva Crooks. Norma was a former business owner of Clearwater, Florida. There, she was a member of several women's flying groups and very active in the community. Later she moved to River Haven in Crystal River and on to Arbor Lakes in Hernando. She was a former member of the Arbor Lakes Board of Directors and the Arbor Lakes Chorus as well as other Arbor Lakes groups. Norma was a member of the Inverness First Church of God.She is survived by two cousins, Tim Crooks of York, Pennsylvania and Bob Crooks of Springfield, Virginia. Norma had three step children, the late Merry Carol Houchard of Conyers, Georgia, David J. Anderson of Arden Mills, Minnesota and Meredith Anderson Houge of Galesville, Wisconsin. Services will be at the First Church of God on Jasmine Road at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 3, 2015. A reception will follow immediately after the service at Arbor Lakes Club House. Memorial donations in Norma's memory are requested to Hospice of Citrus County, P.O. Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL, 34464 in lieu of flowers.
