ANDERSON, S.C. - Mrs. Norma Jean (Ekren) Lovell, age 77 of 131 Life Style Lane, Anderson, SC, died Sunday, February 13, 2005 at the Hospice House in Anderson. She was born on July 10, 1927 in Fargo, ND to Haakon Magnus and Maybelle Leone (Nelson) Ekren of Kensal, ND, where she grew up, attended school and graduated from Kensal High School in 1945. She married Robert W. Lovell on May 9, 1953, son of Irvie Willard Lovell and Louise Martha (Klemstein) Lovell of Courtenay, ND. He was employed by E.I. Dupont de Nemoures & Co. at the Savannah River Plant near Aiken, SC. Norma and Robert raised their two daughters in North Augusta, SC where both graduated from High School. Norma was employed for six years at the Augusta Library in Augusta, GA. She was a graduate of Del Mar School of Nursing in Corpus Christi, TX. The Lovells also lived in Indiana, Delaware and Texas while with DuPont and retired in Anderson, SC in 1990. Surviving are her husband, Robert of A nderson, SC; daughters, Vicki Howell of Marion, SC; Linda Bankston of Midland, TX; grandsons, Robert and Travis Howell of Marion, SC; granddaughter, Norma T. Phillips of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Anna Marie Fisher of Elk Ridge, UT; and brother, Haakon M. Ekren of Kensal, ND. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2005 at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Reverend Frank Lybrand officiating.
