WILLIAMS Nancy Elizabeth Williams, age 97 of Westport entered into eternal rest Monday, January 23, 2012 at Norwalk Hospital. Born in Iva, SC to the late John W. and Laura Stowers Rucker, Nancy was a resident of Westport for the past year and a half and prior to that she resided in Bridgeport thirty-six years. She was employed eighteen years with the Bassick Company and she was a member of the Messiah Baptist Church. Her husband James Williams and a son James Williams, Jr. predeceased her. Left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Carol Williams and Alice Butler both of Bridgeport and April Williams of Stratford; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and a host of nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held Friday 11:00 AM at the Messiah Baptist Church, 210 Congress St., Bridgeport. Interment will follow at the Park Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends are invited to the viewing Friday from 10:00-11:00 AM at the church. Morton's Mortuary, Inc., 25 Margaret E. Morton Lane, Bridgeport is in charge of arrangements.
