SMITH, Myra May 25, 1935 - February 28, 2014 Our beloved Myra, wife, mother, nanny, passed away in Victoria February 28, 2014. Survived by husband William, daughters Elizabeth (David predeceased), Barb (Kim), son Christopher (Wanda), sisters Thelma and Teresa (Phil), brother (Clifford predeceased), sisters in law Brenda and Sheila. Born in Walsall, England. Myra was the daughter of Elizabeth and Ernest Smith Myra began her career in communications in England in General Post Office, when she came to Canada she worked for Bell Canada and Telus. Myra chose to leave her career that she so loved in 1996. She had a myriad of friends for many years. She enjoyed walks with her dogs and many acquaintances. She was a constant inspiration for her family and deeply treasured by all her family. A special thank you to Reverend Dawna Wall and Dr. Deb Braithwaite and the staff at Parkwood Court for their care and attention to our dear mum. Flowers gratefully declined, donations to a charity of your choice. Service at St. Michael and All Angels Church at 2:30 pm, 4733 West Saanich Road on Wednesday March 5, 2014. Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed and very dear.
