Mary Pepper Hirst Hayes, 92, Sarasota, died Aug. 13, 2003. She was born Nov. 4, 1910, in Frankford, Del., and came to Sarasota in 1996 from Dover, Del. She was a registered nurse at a doctor's office in Shelbyville, Del., and retired as an I.C.U. nurse at Wilmington General Hospital, Wilmington, Del. She received a nursing degree in 1933 from Germantown Hospital Training School in Philadelphia. She was a Methodist and a member of Wesley Methodist Church, the Century Club of Dover and the Nurse's Association of Delaware. Survivors include a daughter, Suzanne H. Hill of Sarasota; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Advantage Cremation and Funeral Services, Sarasota, is in charge.
