MARY (SIPICH) MAXWELL SUNRISE 04/25/1934 SUNSET 07/21/2012 Mary passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at the Moses Caregivers Home in Valparaiso. She was the daughter of John and Anna (Karas) Sipich and is survived by her daughter Annamarie Woodruff; step-daughters: Sandra (Walter) Tabor, Barbara (Edward) Rittel, all of Valparaiso, Marsha Roush of Cocoa FL, and Sheree (Steve) Morgan of Princeton IN; grandchildren: Breyanna Woodruff-Tyler, Shelly Jones, James Kendall, Kristy Fastiggi, Samantha Marrier, Adam Morgan, Katie Morgan-Gallion, Jacob, Carly, and Alex Rittel; ten great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a brother, David Sipich of Valparaiso. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 15 years Burl Harry Maxwell; and five brothers: George, John, Alex, Donald, and Mike Sipich. Mary retired from St. Anthony's Hospital in Crown Point, as an Oncology Registered Nurse, after 26 years of service. Before starting her second career as a nurse, she retired from Indiana General, in Valparaiso, after 34 years of being the Final Inspector of magnets. In her lifetime she enjoyed being a collector of antiques, especially dolls. She collected jewelry and other nice things. She loved to read and was a world traveler. Her family always came first. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends and never far from our hearts. Visitation will be from 4:00- 8:00 PM Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Bartholomew Funeral Home in Valparaiso. Funeral services will be on Friday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Her brother, David Sipich, will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
