<!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->Mary Gaddy Hook, died Monday, May 19, 2014, at the age of 59. She was born in Raleigh, NC, to the late Tom Gaddy and Maline Burnett. She was the wife of Le Hook, Production Stage Manager of The Lost Colony, and the mother of two sons, David Hook, who is currently studying animation at the Memphis College of Art, and Jimmy Hook, who is a Junior at Manteo High School, and was a sister to Becky Wright, of Lake Lure, NC, and Jean DeBlasio, of Wilmington, NC. Mary received her Bachelors of Art at UNC Chapel Hill. She was a member of the Roanoke Island Historical Association, Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, and a volunteer coordinator for the Tudor Guild at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. She was a Librarian Aid for several years at Halcyon Elementary School, and she worked at the Costume Shop for The Lost Colony for eight years.Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 24, 2014, at 4:00 pm, at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday at Twiford Colony Chapel, 500 Budleigh St. Manteo, NC, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.Twiford Funeral Home, Manteo, NC is assisting the family with arrangements.
