HOLMES Mary (nee Ashby) born November 2, 1910. Mary died peacefully at Fraserview Lodge on August 20, 2007. She is survived by Fred, her loving husband of 71 years; her daughter Barbara (Greg); son Joe (Traude); 3 grandchildren, Richard, Christopher and David and 3 great-grandchildren, Jacob, Hunter and Alexander. Mary is the last of her family, sister Barbara Harvey and brothers John and David Ashby and parents Ralph and Francis Ashby. Her nieces and nephews and many "adopted" daughters will always remember her sense of fun, her stories and her wonderful joy of life. Mary and Fred were best friends, they had an extraordinary life. Two of her greatest loves were boating with Fred and enjoying their lovely cottage at Buccaneer Bay. They lived, and loved and played together for 71 years, and they did do it their way.
