Obituary of Mary-Ellen Lawson


Mary Ellen Lawson UNION, SC-- Mrs. Mary Ellen Lawson, age 66, wife of Donald R. "Ducky" Lawson of 215 Arthur Blvd., Union, SC, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013, at her home. Mrs. Lawson was born in Union, SC November 18, 1946, a daughter of the late Flonnie Jeffcoat. She was a graduate of Union High School and was a homemaker. Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Scott Lawson and wife Wendie of Woodruff and Josh Lawson and wife Wendy of Union; three grandchildren, Graham, Molly Grayson and Lauren; three brothers, Rick Jeffcoat and wife Phyllis of Simpsonville, Larry Jeffcoat and Mark Jeffcoat both of Union; and a nephew, Richie Smith and wife Holly of Spartanburg. Mrs. Lawson was predeceased by a sister, Jeanie J. Smith. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Steven Owensby. Visitation will be held 7:00-9:00 PM Friday evening, April 5th at the SR Holcombe Funeral Home. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Wentz and the staff and nurses of Hospice Care of S.C. for their loving care of Mrs. Lawson and her family during her illness.
