ELERY, MARY ELIZABETH (LOGAN), 90, departed this earthly life on the morning of Friday, August 13, 2010. She leaves behind her daughter, LaVera Wilson; her son-in-law, Laurence Wilson; two grandsons, Bryan and Kevan Wilson; a sister, Elder Darlene Nelson of Cincinnati, OH; a sister-in-law, Alberta Elery; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mary was united with Youngs Chapel A.M.E. Church in May of 1948. A special thanks to the staff at Baptist East Park Tower, 4th Floor Palliative Care Unit for their excellent care and support. Homegoing services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Youngs Chapel AME Church, 1039 S. 16th St., with burial in Louisville Cemetery. Visitation: 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at A D. Porter & Sons-Southeast, 4501 Bardstown Road
