Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. EST, Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Greater St. John Baptist Church, Crawford, AL with Rev. Jonah J. Williams, pastor and Rev. Charlie B. Bryant, Jr., eulogist. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens, Phenix City, AL. Visitation is Tuesday, February 17, 2015 from 1 - 8 p.m. EST according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc. Sis. Pitts was born October 14, 1949 in Opelika, AL to the late Sankey Pitts and the late Mary Smith Pitts. She was a member of Greater St. John Baptist Church and had been employed with Pillowtex Manufacturing Co. Survivors include six sisters, Ella Mae Morgan, Ethel B. Richardson, Willie Bell (Jimmy) Mercer, Ethel Parker and Elvester (Johnnie, Sr.) Jones all of Opelika, AL; Sarah Eiland of Gary, IN and a host of other relatives and friends.
