DAVIS, MARY BEATRICE, 91, of Louisville passed away Monday, July 18, 2005, at Sacred Heart Home. "She was the devoted and loving mother of nine children who state she was the 'best mom' in the world". She was a member of Sts. Simon & Jude Catholic Church and it's Altar Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Davis, and a granddaughter, Shannon O'Bryan. She is survived by children, Janice O'Bryan (Richard), Mary Joe Schmidt (Joe), Rose Beard (Randy Mingus), Theresa Carpenter (Terry), Rita Wilkinson ( Jay), Susan Recktenwald (Gil), Charles Davis (Therese), Michael Davis (Betty) and Martha Eatherly (Ricky); a sister, Teresa Robertson; 28 grandchildren; and 49 great-grandchildren. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon Thursday at her church, 4335 Hazelwood Ave., with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at J.E. Ratterman & Son, 7330 Southside Drive. Expressions of sympathy may go to Hospice of Louisville or Sacred Heart Village.
