MARY ANNA COLLETT Mary Anna Collett, beloved wife of Richard (Dick) Collett, passed away suddenly Saturday, May 29, 2004 at the age of 83. Mary was born Aug. 13, 1920 in Fort Frances, Ont., where she lived all her life. Mary was a loving and caring person who enjoyed spending time with her family. Each of her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. Holiday celebrations were especially important to her. Her ability as a homemaker was very apparent, from her homemade muffins and pies to the comfortable home she provided for her family. Many enjoyable summers were spent at the cabin on Lake Despair and later at Reef Point. Mary was a dedicated member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Fort Frances. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Richard Anthony Collett, to whom she was united in marriage on Nov. 2, 1941; her daughter, Lorna Angus and husband, Gary, and their children, Julie, of Fort Frances, and Jamie and wife, Elaine, of Calgary, Alta.; and her son, Rick Collett and wife, Patti, and their children, Erin and fiancee, Darren Smith, of Camrose, Alta., Holly of Calgary, Alta., and Christa of Fort Frances, Ont. Also surviving are her brother, Olaf Mosley and wife, Pat; sister, Sigrid Mosley of Fort Frances, Ont.; sisters-in-law, Pheobe Mosley of Atikokan, Ont., Laura Mitchell of Fort Frances, Ont., and Shirley Collett of Thunder Bay, Ont.; as well as many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Ole Mosley in 1952 and Guro Mosley in 1982; sister, Gudrun Green; and brother, Jergen Mosley. Friends may visit Wednesday, June 2 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Fort Frances. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 3, 2004 at 2 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church. Pastor Brian Keffer will officiate, with interment in Riverview Cemetery. The pallbearers will be John Mosley, Michael Mosley, Warren Kane, Doug Mitchell, Larry Cousineau, and Stan Zajac. For those who so desire, in memoriam donations may be made to either the Memorial Fund at Zion Lutheran Church, 1105 Scott St., Fort Frances, Ont., P9A 1J7, or to the Riverside Foundation for Health Care—La Verendrye General Hospital, 110 Victoria Ave., Fort Frances, Ont., P9A 2B7.
