Born in Portugal Cove, NL, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Lily May Miller (Portugal Cove). Leaving to mourn are her loving husband, Ernest Barnes; sons, Robert (Marta), Branch LaHave; Donald (Carmie), Dartmouth; daughters, Trudy Davidson (Peter), Mount Uniacke; Mildred Howell, Paradise, NL; sister, Evelyn Wakely, St. John's, NL; brother, Wilfred Miller (Wilhelmina), Portugal Cove, NL; sister-in-law, Daphne Conlin (Ralph), Vancouver, B.C.; brother-in-law, Wallace Barnes, Manuels, NL; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; 17 nieces and nephews; and a large number of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by sisters, Laura MacGillivary, Phoebe Coffin, Florence Coffin, Margaret Holmes, and brother, David Miller. Arrangements entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville, where visitation will take place 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and funeral service 2 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. James Haughn officiating. Interment in Oakridge Memory Gardens and reception to follow in Atlantic Funeral Home. Family flowers only.
