Martin Alan Davis, 58, husband of Mary Davis of 408 Stratford Drive, died Friday, November 3, 2006.Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a son of the late Irving and Esther Schechter Davis.He received an undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma, a graduate degree from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland and taught at Clemson University since 1975 in the Graduate School of Architecture.Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughter, Elspeth Davis of Baltimore, Md.; a son, Peter Davis of Seneca; and a sister, Sandy Dornbush of New Jersey.He was predeceased by a brother, Stephen Davis, MD.Services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Temple of Israel with Rabbi James Cohn officiating.Memorials may be made to the Martin Davis Scholarship Fund, Clemson University School of Architecture, Attention: Professor Bob Hogan, phone 864-656-3898.
