Martha Jackson, 89, of Louisville, died Thursday, January 9, 2003, at Norton Audubon Hospital. She was the former Martha Samuels, a retired employee of the old Stewart Dry Goods, a devoted Catholic and a member of Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Smither Jackson. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mark T. and Beverly Jackson; a sister, Lydia Bullock; and a grandson, Mark Jonathan Jackson. Her funeral will be held at noon on Saturday, January 11, 2003, at Embry-Bosse Funeral Home, 2723 Preston Hwy., with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 10 a.m. Saturday.
