CORRECTION MARLENE SMITH February 19, 1950 June 20, 2011 Marlene Smith, age 61 of Moose Jaw, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on June 20, 2011. She was born, raised, and educated in the Canora area. Marlene received her Nursing degree in Saskatoon and this began a career that lasted for over 40 years. Her children were her passion and a great deal of her time was spent being involved with all of their activities from season to season. She loved walking, being outdoors and enjoying nature. Predeceased by her father, Peter Baron, she will be lovingly remembered by her mother Victoria Baron, husband Rod, children: Jason, Jeffery (Laine Froehlich), and Meagan; two sisters, Alvina (Chuck) Cameron and Beverly (Brian) Wiwchar, niece Cindy (Gary) Cherry, nephews Dan (Barb) Cameron, Justin (Francine) Wiwchar, Dylan (Tiffany) Wiwchar, and Logan Wiwchar, as well as countless other loving relatives. The Funeral Service will be held at Minto United Church, 1036 Seventh Ave., N.W., Moose Jaw, on Saturday June 25, 2011 at 4:00 pm. Mr. Gary Johnson will officiate. Interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery at a later date. Visitation for family and friends will be held at W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home on Friday evening 7 9 pm.
