Marjorie Rose Smith, 87, died Aug. 10, 2011, in Fort Pierce. She was born in Hartford, Conn., and lived in Fort Pierce since 1954, coming from East Granby, Conn. Before retirement, she was a clerk for the county court. She was a past president of the Ladies' Knights of Columbus. Survivors include her daughters, Janice M. Dake and Debra McCain, both of Fort Pierce; son, Douglas Smith of Oakland, Maine; brother, Warren Rose of Bushnell; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thure "T.C." Smith; and son, Mark Anthony Smith.
