PARKINS, Marion Jean (nee Habkirk) Marion Jean, born February 25th, 1934, in Calgary, Alberta, passed away on the evening of Sunday, March 26th, 2006 with her loving family at her side. Her death follows a long and courageous battle with respiratory disease. Marion was 72 years old. She is predeceased by her brother, Robert Habkirk. She will be forever missed by her son Matthew (Leah) Parkins, sister Margaret (Ken) Head, sister Betty (Erwin) Nesselbeck , grandsons Connor and Rhys Parkins, granddaughters Jesica and Emily Michels, and Amanda and Bill Dea, who included Marion in their extended family, and made it possible for her to maintain a very close and loving relationship with her grandsons. Marion was loved by her ten nieces and nephews and their families and stayed close to them always with her keen interest in their lives. Those who knew Marion, remember her for her amazing memory for detail and numbers, her enthusiasm for family gatherings, her loyalty and generosity, and most of all, her incredible sense of humour. A wonderful woman, sister, mother and grandmother, she will be missed deeply by family, friends and neighbours. Sincere thanks to Dr. Naidu for his concern, compassion and respect for Marion over the years. Thank you to Marions caregivers who encouraged her independence daily and who shared her great sense of fun. A private family celebration of her life will be held.
