Born to Louis Ervin Taylor and Leona Lillian Scott Taylor on December 4, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Grew up in Holladay and later lived in Murray and Bluffdale before moving to the Town of Leeds in beautiful southern Utah.Survived by her friend and companion Trudy Law, sister Jeanne (Lamoine) Gearhart, Ontario, Oregon, brother Don Taylor, Holladay and brother Ross (Trudy) Taylor, West Valley City, Utah, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her Father, Mother and older brother Billy. She had a passion for loving her family and caring about their lives. Attended Granite High School, Utah State University (always claimed to be an Aggie) and graduated with a Bachelors in Physical Science from the University of Utah. Worked for many years in a chemistry lab where she loved the work and the people, and has maintained friendships since her retirement in 1993.Grateful for her membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Served a mission to the Hurricane Peach Orchard for 2 years. She loved being outdoors and gardening. The outdoor work at the orchard and driving the tractor was the best. She enjoyed being outside with her pets, gardening and the warm sunshine. Marilyn would tell you just what she thought. You always knew where you stood with Marilyn. She had a big love for others and was a caring and gentle person.Funeral services will be held Friday, April 4th 11 a.m. at the Leeds LDS Church Building, 75 North Main Street. Viewing at 10 a.m prior to services. Marilyn loved to visit and is sponsoring a luncheon for everyone at the church after the interment at the Leeds Cemetery. Everyone is welcome to attend the Celebration of her Life.
