AuCOIN, Marie Laura - 98, Grand Etang, Inverness Co., died July 29, 2004, in Sacred Heart Community Health Centre, Cheticamp. Born in Grand Etang, she was a daughter of the late Frederic Cormier and Patronille (Chiasson) Cormier. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, St. Joseph Du Moine. She was a retired school teacher, an active member of St. Joseph's Parish and community, a faithful member of Les Dames De Ste-Anne, and a member of Nouveau Horizon Senior Citizen Club. She is survived by her sons, Victor (Louise Anna), Maurice (Marcella), both of Grand Etang; daughters, Beatrice Desveaux, Grand Etang; Corinne (Glen) Murdy, Ontario; Léa (Bert) Cassie, St. Joseph Du Moine; Jeanne (Claudius) Deveau, Grand Etang; Laurel (Gerard) Deveau, Cheticamp; Glenna (Rhéal) Rainville, Ontario; 39 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, John J. AuCoin; son, Harvey; brothers, Marcellin, Charlie, Arsène; sisters, Marie-Hélène, Anastasie, Alma, Marianne. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today with a funeral mass at 2 p.m. Saturday, both in St. Joseph's Church, St. Joseph Du Moine, Father Sylvain Guilbault officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery.
