Anderson, Marie Helene RENSSELAER Marie Helene Anderson, 79, of Rensselaer, died suddenly on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Albany Memorial Hospital. Helene was born in Pawtucket, R.I. She retired working in the bindery for Lane Press, Albany, after 30 years of service. Helene was educated at Rhode Island School for the deaf graduating in 1952. Helene was a crafter in her spare time and enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing. Helene was an avid sports enthusiast and cheered her grandchildren on in basketball, baseball and softball, as well as college sports on television. Helene was a member of Deaf Seniors, Albany Silent Club, C.D.D.C, Rensselaer Senior Bowling League and Rhode Island Alumni Association. Helene was a women of Faith and shared that faith with all she meet. Predeceased by her father, Wilfred Tetreault; mother, Delia Carron; brother, Wilfred Tetreault and son, Henry A. Anderson. Helene is survived by her husband of 56 years, Alfred H. Anderson; one daughter, Bernadette (Matthew) Johnson; and four grandchildren, Stephen, Joshua, Emily, Shannon. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2014 from Church of St. Mary, 163 Columbia Tpk., Rensselaer, where a Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be celebrated. Friends may visit in the Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpk., Rensselaer on Friday from 4-7 p.m. Interment will be in St Mary's Cemetery, Troy.
