DAVIS Marie B., age 93 of Paterson, NJ went to sleep in Jesus on Friday, September 30, 2011, at home. Marie was born in Horry County, S.C and moved to Paterson in 1937. She was a seamstress, cosmetologist and beautician. She was a member of The Solid Rock Baptist Church for more than 50 years. Marie was predeceased by her husband, James H. Davis, two sons, Tom and Richard Davis and a daughter-in-law, Peggy C. Davis. She is survived by two of her 13 siblings, Esther and Arlene Williams of Philadelphia. PA, and 7 children, Maggie Johnson, Hazel, Barbara and James Davis of Paterson, NJ, Franklin Davis of Elizabeth, NJ, Willie Davis of Rockville, MD and Jerry Davis of Clifton, NJ. Her viewing will be 4-6 PM at The Solid Rock Baptist Church, 193 Spring St, Paterson, NJ, with the funeral following at 6 PM. The interment will be on Saturday at 9 AM at Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
