WILLIAMS Marguerite O. Williams, age 99, died on Tuesday, November 15, 2005, at Starr Farm Nursing Facility. She was born on August 7, 1906, in Kensington, the daughter of Rev. Edgar and Minnie (Pay) Olmstead. She graduated from Roger Ludlowe High School, attended Connecticut College (for Women) and graduated from Oberlin College in 1927. Marguerite taught English and Library Science in the Fairfield public school system between 1927-1941 and 1962-1973. On December 27, 1941, she married Albert Williams, who predeceased her in 1961. Marguerite was a former member of First Church Congregational, Fairfield, a 50 year member and past regent of the Eunice Dennie Burr Chapter, DAR., a Member of the Retired Educators of Fairfield, Greater Bridgeport Retired Teachers Association and the Association of Retired Teachers of Connecticut. She was a member of Malletts Bay Congregational Church, Colchester, Vt. Her kindness will be remembered by all the lives she touched. Marguerite is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Kenneth Beebe, of Colchester, Vt. and Vineyard Haven, Mass.; and grandson, Christopher and his wife, Diana Beebe, of Dillon, Colo.; two nieces, Mary Murphy of Wheaton, Md. and Janet Gabbert of Seattle, Wash.; and a nephew, Kenneth Williams of Fairfield. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Karen Beebe in 1997. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at 10 a.m. in the Hobart Chapel, First Church Congregational, Fairfield with the Rev. Suzanne Wagner officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund at First Church Congregational, 148 Beach Road, Fairfield, CT 06824.
