August 25, 2003 Margaret Roth, 85, formerly of 120 Sherbourne Rd., Syracuse and East Lake Rd., Owasco, passed away Monday, August 25, 2003 at Genesee Region Home Care in Rochester. born in Auburn, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Gertrude Mettlach Hamilton. Mrs. Roth was a 1937 graduate of East High School and was an employee of the Auburn Trust Company until 1944. She was a member of the St. Therese Church in Syracuse and a former member of the Church's Altar Society. Mrs. Roth is survived by her three daughters, Trudy Gongora of Alexandria, VA, Patty Campbell (Thomas) of Accra, Ghana (Africa) and Mary Mullin (Joseph) of Rochester; a sister, Mrs. Phyllis Herrling (Carl) of Auburn; six grandchildren, Pilar and Marisa Gongora, Matthew and Jennifer Campbell, Patrick and Margaret Mullin and three nieces, Freddie Hammond and Kathi and Melinda O'Brien. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter G. Roth, Jr. and by her son, peter G. Roth, III. Mrs. Roth's funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Langham Funeral Home, 75 E. Genesee St. of Auburn. Visiting hours will be at the F.H. Friday, August 29 from 4 to 7 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, August 30 at 9 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Church.
