SOBB, Margaret Elizabeth (Betty) Her family announces with sadness, the passing of Margaret Elizabeth "Betty" Sobb (nee Anderson) on Sunday, July 18, 1999, at the age of 80 years. Betty was born at Hurdman's Bridge, the daughter of the late Howard and Lily (Rombough) Anderson and sister of the late Jack Anderson. Beloved wife of the late Frank Sobb. Dear and caring mother to Janet Aldridge of England, Marvin and his wife Gloria (Bowie) of Kanata and Susan Summerville (the late Skip) of Gloucester. Loving grandmother to Matthew and Marty Sobb, Michael-Philip and Edwin Aldridge and Diane Summerville. Mom was a generous and outgoing woman, and those who loved her, included many lifelong friends, her wonderful neighbours (old and new) on Willard Street and in Ottawa South, and many other relatives and friends. The family extends sincere thanks to Dr. James Dickson for 30 years of dedicated and compassionate care, and to the wonderful staff on 6 West at the General Campus of the Ottawa Hospital. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa, on Tuesday, July 20th, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service on Wednesday, July 21, 1999, at 2 p.m. at Southminster United Church (Bank at Aylmer). Cremation and interment to follow at a later date. Contributions to a charity of your choice gratefully acknowledged by the family.
